...York, Philadelphia and Baltimore this winter, and we have had the pleasure of hearing the Yale concert in Boston. On the other hand, the managers of our clubs may answer that the unexpressed wishes of the music-lovers in college do not lead them to expect a liberal support, nor justify them in giving more frequent exhibitions. We think they are wrong, as the college at large would be only too glad to show its approval of their efforts if it lay in its power, although it has never urged the matter. We have not spoken in complaint...

...have always noticed that a well-organized and victorious crew owes its success invariably to the energy, push, alertness, self-sacrifice and denial of its captain. Let the captain of our crew display more of these traits and we will prophesy renewed enthusiasm among its members, a hearty support by the class, and finally and paramount in importance, a successful and victorious race on the Harlem, July...

Let not a less enthusiastic party support our team, especially now, while they are at home, and later we will do what we can by them. Our nine has worked faithfully this year, and certainly contains excellent material...
