...demonstrably contrite Mel Gibson under the bus yet is eager to rally around an unrepentant Polanski. Somehow the moral compass in Hollywood is dramatically askew and rigged against those who don't genuflect properly. It has been striking to watch the Hollywood élite tripping over themselves to muster support and condone Polanski's transgressions. Stewart Quealy, TEMECULA, CALIF...
...Ordos, Inner Mongolia. The project will dwarf the largest solar plants to date, and eventually generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of 3 million Chinese homes. To fulfill the huge demands, First Solar says it's considering building a solar-module manufacturing facility in the city to support the project. While financial details were not released, news of the deal caused First Solar's stock to jump 11% on the day of the announcement. U.S. attorneys claim that Mehanna sought terrorist training in the Middle East in 2004 and worked with two other men on various plots designed to "kill, kidnap, maim or injure" U.S. citizens and soldiers from 2001 to 2008. Mehanna was indicted in January for lying to the FBI during another terrorist investigation...
