Although any forecast of the ultimate strength of the teams which Harvard must face this year is at this time bound to be premature, it is interesting, nevertheless, to survey the outcome of these opponents in their initial contests and to remark the significant points. ...Goodnow '82, of the state department of engineering, has completed a survey of Soldiers Field with a view towards reclaiming still more of the waste land in the northwest portion than is now in condition for use. As a result of this work, the Athletic Association has decided to install one test drain of a style advocated by Mr. Goodnow and the work on this will be done this summer.
