Here’s the gist of this wonderful exercise in statistical exploration: “Male undergraduates are much more likely to masturbate than their female peers, according to a recent survey on undergraduate sexual activity conducted by The Daily Princetonian.” Groundbreaking, no? Also, the article quoted a UCLA psychology professor who explains that these “gender discrepancies” might stem in part from male genitals being “a lot more easy to find” than their female counterparts...

...study, which drew on household income data from the Decennial Census and the 2007 American Community Survey, conducted annually by the U.S. Census Bureau, showed that the biggest gainers were married college-educated men. The biggest losers were unmarried men who did not complete high school or who only had a high school diploma. After adjusting for inflation, the 2007 cohort had lower household incomes than their 1970 counterparts. ...news broke that contributions from Hatoyama's mother were recorded as political funds coming from other donors - some of whom were dead. Hatoyama has promised to pay hundreds of millions of yen in tax on that sum, but the damage control has been slow. Rather than being triggered by lava-flow murmurings deep in the Yellowstone Caldera, the latest quakes are believed to be the result of shifting plate tectonics, according to a statement issued by the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory (YVO), which is operated by the University of Utah and the U.S. Geological Survey. "At this time the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory does not consider the swarm to be unusual and the earthquakes are likely related to tectonic fault sources," the statement said.
