...relaxed, informal yacht trips, says Abplanalp, the men rarely talk politics, but the cruises offer Nixon a chance to swap fishing and sports stories with his friends. Since Nixon took office, Abplanalp's two-story, eight-bed room house on Grand Cay has been refurbished and enlarged. The President uses the master suite while there and often works during the early morning hours in the attached private study. Besides fishing, Nixon rides around the 125-acre island on a golf cart, and swims in the shark-filled waters-always, of course, under close watch by Secret Service agents...

...memorable. Apart from their notable acting strengths, the sheer likability of Michele Lee and Ken Howard is infectious. She is a warm, supple sprig of femininity; he is a tongue-tied Adam trying to invent a word for love. A playgoer ends up half wishing that the pair could swap their teeter-totter affair for the merry-go-round of marriage. · T.E. Kalem

On December 14, there was another, presumably last switch. But Marilyn, influenced by what Mike calls her "background," felt too guilty...

...week's end the two couples' biggest worry, apparently, was what people would think. "Don't make this out to be Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice," Susanne admonished reporters. "Don't say this was wife swapping," Mike echoes, "because we didn't swap wives, we swapped lives." Other members of the Yankees rallied around their teammates. Said Outfielder Ron Swoboda: "This is a now situation, and baseball players are part of the now world." Catcher Thurman Munson agreed. "It ain't going to bother me," he said. "The only thing that's going...
