...University crew squad were given pair-oar practice yesterday afternoon. Mr. E. C. Storrow '89, Mr. George Faulkner, a professional coach, and Captain Higginson coached the men, especially on the blade work and body swing. Later in the afternoon the two crews were made up and were given a hard row down stream. No changes were made in the boat stroked by Bancroft, but in Evans' crew DuBois took Burton's place...
...first regular performance of "Wytche Hazelle" was given last evening at Graduates' night in the Hasty Pudding Club. Taken as a whole the play is a good deal above the average of Pudding productions. The first act goes off with a swing and dash somewhat lacking in the second which, however, is enlivened by specialties, a burlesque on Robespierre and several dances full of spirit and movement. The burlesque, though clever, will need cutting down; the act indeed would not lose by the omission of the quintette. The costumes are extremely pretty and the whole effect of the piece is delightful...

The breadth of the oars has been increased in the first boat to 7 1-4 inches, and in the second boat to 6 1-2 inches from 6 inches last year. The new cedar shell made by Ruddock of New York has arrived and will...
...Newell Senior crew has suffered more from changes than any of the others, but since it has had the present order, the crew has improved rapidly. The stroke is very even and has a good beat. The chief fault is a tendency to swing out of the boat. Stroke, Harding, 160; 7, Higginson, 155; 6, Fitzgerald, 160; 5, Biddle, 172; 4, Gale, 170; 3, Gray, 162; 2, Byrd, 163; bow, Bolling, 138; cox., Goodrich...
