...Talbot was injured in the scrimmage with the Freshmen yesterday after having been back on the University roster for less than a week. He was hurt about ten days before last Saturday's games but managed to recover in time to play a few minutes in the closing period of the Coast Guard tilt. The injury suffered in yesterday's workout will force him to remain out of the Springfield game this coming week...

...possibility of picking a lineup became increasingly difficult when it became known yesterday that Mays, Trafford, and M. Finlayson had all joined White and Baldwin on the hospital list and would have to see both games from seats in the Stadium. Talbot and Gildea, however, have both been approved for play by the doctors, and, although the possibility of their starting is fairly remote, they will be in uniforms. Mays, Trafford, and Finlayson all turned up with injuries yesterday received in the scrimmage with the Freshmen the day before...
Mays and Ogden were both excused from the workout, but Talbot and Gildea both appeared on the field in uniform. Neither of the latter two will play in the doubleheader on Saturday, however. Only Baldwin and Brinkley and, of course, Cunningham, remain on the injured list, but the first two will both be ready for play Saturday...
