...residents seem to think that by opposing every proposal Harvard makes, they will be able to avert the development of the site. The bottom line is that Harvard owns the land and will build something there in the future. The current proposal, graduate student housing, could very well be taller than the proposed museum but would take up less of the site. There would be view corridors through to the river, which is what residents want most. There would be park space, another desirable aspect from residents’ point of view.
