The editor of the local newspaper of Kibbutz Bar Am, where I was born, calls up and asks to interview me about the situation. Oh, boy, the situation. How I like to talk about the situation. There is a terrible hailstorm, and I am screaming on the telephone. I can't hear myself. I can't see anything. About three months ago, when Barak was at Camp David, we thought we were winning. That our struggle for peace was on the verge...

Bedazzled is sort of a big "eh." Is it worth the $8 evening show? Clearly not. Is it worth the $4.50 matinee? Maybe, but probably not. If you're floating in a sensory deprivation tank, it happens to be playing directly in front of you, and your eyes are three-quarters closed, is it worth the effort it would take to open them and improve your view? An Australian who once worked for his country's intelligence service, Indyk caught Bill Clinton's eye in 1991 while heading a pro-Israel think tank in Washington. He became a U.S. citizen only 10 days before being named Clinton's top Middle East hand on the National Security Council. Two years later, he became the first Jewish-American ambassador to Israel. Then came a stint as Assistant Secretary of State for the region...

...whose luggage the airline is bound to lose. And the sort you know is going to end up on Jack's roof, chasing a cat, holding a live wire in one hand, putting out a leaf fire with one foot while trying to pretend the overflow in the septic tank down below is not his fault. De Niro is getting awfully good at comic menace (see Analyze This), and Stiller, a handsome guy who never alludes to his good looks, is a deliciously preoccupied innocent...
