They do one clever, satirical skit, in which a radio play is presented; in which all the spoken lines are made to contain stage directions and descriptions. Julius Tannen and his oddly trained seal with a rose-colored muffler, are also on hand. But the best part is still Moran and Mack, lackadaisical, lethargic, ridiculous dialogue comedians...
...wheeled in circles, yanked up, let down, by fiendish, invisible agencies. Occasionally they spring into action, appear as living, writhing creatures. Into this horror have strayed a few bits of freshness-Magda de Bries in a rattling dance, Moran and Mack, funny in spite of stale skits, Julius Tannen, dialogue comedian, and best of all, Julius Tannen's trained seal, who misbehaved beautifully. This is hardly enough light to brighten a whole freight-car load of carnality. Seats must be purchased at least a week in advance...

...Vanities. After running one show all summer, Earl Carroll despatched it to the provinces and followed with an entirely new edition. He kept Julius Tannen, bits of scenery and probably a chorus girl here and there. He added Frank Tinney and Joe Cook, many songs and much nonsense. It was with some horror that the opening night attendants heard Mr. Tinney jest gleefully about his recent marital disturbance. Otherwise he was funny. Mr. Cook was exceedingly amusing in his own peculiar way, and on the whole people had a good time...
