Cornell Food Science Professor Frank V. Kosikowski now claims to have the answer: wine made from whey. The potion, says Kosikowski, is "brilliantly clear, pale yellow, tart and dry, with a subdued aroma and bouquet." And versatile. "If baked at 150° F for two to three weeks, the wine becomes whey sherry of a rich, amber color. It can also be distilled and aged to become brandy...
...polls in January predicted an absolute Labor majority in the 120-seat Knesset, they now show Labor with only 45 seats, Begin's Likud with 33 and various splinter groups with 42. The new polls undoubtedly give Begin more confidence as he faces such unexpected bombshells as the tart revelations of his onetime Defense Minister, Ezer Weizman. The evening's high spot consists of Tess and a humble housewife (Marilyn Cooper) agreeing that The Grass Is Always Greener - a lowlife, high-life duet. Cooper makes this sequence as tart as vinegar and twice as puckish...
...snarl dialogue. But he is fatally drawn to making big statements. And repeating them. And acting them out -to make sure his point has penetrated the most thickly armored brain in the house. But all he really has to say is that golden oldie, beloved by people trying to tart up adventure stories: the one about a man having to get down to nothing, to look into the abyss of nonbeing, if he is going to find the perfect freedom required to ply dangerous trades fearlessly...
