Last week came word from Germany of a desperate economy within her foremost airline, Luft Hansa. which has come upon lean times because of decreased government subsidy for 1930. On May 1, Luft Hansa will begin an air taxi service with a force of 50 planes now idling away profitable flying time in hangars.
