Tituba, a Negro servant (Madame Sul-Te-Wan), gets the Massachusetts housewives thinking about witches when she tells of devil dances she has witnessed in the jungle. Her tales excite a nervous child, Ann (Bonita Granville). who is punished for having a stolen book on witches. Ann gets even with Tituba by pretending to be bewitched.
