They had experienced about the same number of defeats which have fallen to the lot of the present nine, and began to acquire 'Varsity form at about the same period in their training. ...thinking over the Princeton game of a few weeks ago the casual observer might say, "surely there was cheering enough." True, but that cheering did not come at the right time. When the chances of the Harvard nine seemed to improve through the errors of the visiting team, the applause was of the loudest, but when the home nine were demoralized there was not the slightest effort to help them. We should be sorry to see a repetition of this on Thursday...
