...Haven, Conn., June 7.--F. T. Nelson '10 was today elected captain of the Yale track team for next year. Nelson prepared for Yale at Lawrenceville School. In his freshman year he won first place in the pole-vault in the meet with Harvard 1910. Last year he tied for first in the dual meet and in the intercollegiates, and this spring he won the pole-vault in the Harvard and Princeton dual meets, and tied for second place in the intercollegiate games...

...School were easily defeated. In the Exeter game the Freshmen won by the score of 4 to 2, the fielding being especially fast. At Hotchkiss the Freshmen were held to an eleven inning tie, 3 to 3, but Pomfret was easily defeated 20 to 3. At Andover the Freshman team suffered their only defeat in a sensational game in which the Freshmen played the best, ball of the season. At New Haven, in the first game of the series, they defeated Yale 6 to 4 in a hard-fought game, and a week ago last Saturday, closed the season successfully...

...last Saturday at New Haven. Yale won the game in the first inning, when four runs resulted from Drewes's weak pitching and Yale's timely hitting. Drewes was then replaced by White, who allowed two runs during the remainder of the game. In the sixth inning the Yale team made its fifth run, and in the following inning the total of six runs was completed by excellent base running. Only once in the course of the game did Princeton have a chance to score. This was in the fourth inning, when a run was prevented by a wonderful running...
