The cast--including spiritualist Bill Murray, the ever-anal Ted Knight, and Rodney Danger-field--more than make up for the lame and tedious teen-love subplot. And the turd-in-the-swimming pool scene will undoubtedly serve as a humour benchmark for years to come...

Sometimes the recurring plot elements seem to repetitive, a passionate lover after passionate lover turns out to be a spy; sometimes the exaggerated characters become only tiresome stereotypes. Some passages can be relatively tedious, such as the tired political debates relived over and over in Ana's hospital room the repeated philosophizing on ideal relationships between men and women. Dialogue often tends to be melodramatic...
...this production in the Cabot House living room works very nicely indeed--like most Harvard house common rooms, it looks like an upper-class living room. The period music is nice, but the production could use some more of it, it uses thee same songs at each tedious scene change. Perhaps Pulido should pull out the rest of soundtrack to Radio Days...
