...current moment, the energy here can only be described as tepid, at best.  FlyBy wants to give first shotouts to Dunster, Mather, and Eliot for currently having the biggest representation.  Other houses here include Pfoho and Currier. FlyBy gives a hearty boo to all you houses who are MIA: Leverett, Kirkland, Quincy, Adams, Cabot, Lowell, and Winthrop. WHERE YOU AT???  At any rate, hopefully we'll find some humor today, though I doubt we'll top probably the finest of housing day moments...

House Culture: Tepid. As the largest house, and one that happens to be divided amongst four non-adjoining buildings (including Dewolfe), it's got to be tough to build a defining house culture. Add to that the fact that many just don’t want to rep shirts that prominently feature these, and it certainly gets tougher. The Stein clubs are, in a word, WEAK. And Lev really lacks those iconic rooms that drive a healthy party scene (those of you who are of party grant age, do you ever remember a Lev party really turning it out?). FlyBy...

Rounding out its two-week mini Mozart festival, the Boston Symphony Orchestra paid tribute to the Austrian composer and prodigy with a tepid performance of his final three symphonies last Thursday. The night—save for a rousing performance of Mozart’s “Jupiter” symphony—could best be characterized as an uninspired rendition of Mozart’s works.Led by American-born conductor James Levine, now in his fifth season as music director, the BSO performed the last of its three-program survey of Mozart symphonies with his final, best known...

...Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (henceforth referred to as Trail of Dead for obvious reasons) released “Source Tags & Codes,” a darling album for indie rock enthusiasts. Since then, their music has been received with less than tepid ethusiasm. Some say that it was because they signed with Interscope. Some say that it was because Neil Busch, bassist and electro-noise maker, left the band. Some say that “Source Tags & Codes” was so perfect that anything that came after it would naturally pale in comparison. Whatever...

...perfume bottles and dropping a pitcher of milk. It seems he’s too busy scowling to put any effort into his vengeance. The violent sounds of this tempestuous break up—glass shattering, shrieks of rage, car alarms—are drowned out by the tepid tune of a rather weak pop ballad. Everything happens in slow motion; the events taking place within the dim interior of Ciara and Enrique’s fictive home seem as though they were transpiring underwater. Objects don’t fall, they float through the air and shatter delicately against...
