EDITORS HARVARD HERALD : Since the Advocate has set the fashion to grumble at Memorial's deficiencies, allow me to call to your notice the lack of attention bestowed upon those who are sick. Lovers of athletics in Boston hail with pleasure the commencement of the fall term at Harvard. The Harvard Athletic Club is now the only really active club in Massachusetts. There was an active organization called the Union Athletic Club, but it is now dormant. While Mr. Ferris was on hand the club was prosperous and successful, and it is unfortunate that he is unable to continue his efforts. The following named gentlemen were elected officers for the academic year : President, E. Cummings, '83; vice-president, H. M. Lloyd, '83; secretary and treasurer, J. B. Wilson, '84.
