Green Day’s new album is supposed to be some kind of rock opera about America’s post-9/11 terror paranoia, but really that’s completely irrelevant so it will not be mentioned again. The focus should stay far more centered on the poor songwriting and bloated lyrics on this record, and with the exception of the first single, nothing here is any fun.
