This is the fourth cup which has been presented by graduates for events in the annual Spring Handicap games. The Dodge Cup was given for the 220-yard dash and is now held by E. A. Teschner '17. The other two cups, the S. G. Wells Cup for the 440-yard dash, and the Dr. F. Wells Cup, given for the one-mile event in the spring games, are held by J. M. Waterman '17 and F. W. Capper '15 respectively. It is the hope of the Athletic Committee finally to have cups for every event in the Handicap Games...
...prospects for the University track team in the spring show that it will be somewhat unbalanced: weak in the field events but unusually strong in the track events. In the short sprints there will be E. A. Teschner '17, who won first place against Yale in both dashes last spring. He will bear the brunt of the work but will be helped out by W. Moore '18 and E. E. ...third race was won by Pennsylvania at the Hartford Armory games, chiefly because Teschner slipped at the start and lost a few yards which the others could not regain. Here each man ran a quarter mile instead of the usual 390 yards. The fast time of 3 minutes 31 2-5 seconds was registered by the Pennsylvania quartet. The University team was the same as in the previous races...
