...Democratic Convention, Frances Tarlton ("Sissy") Farenthold, fresh from a defeat in the Texas gubernatorial primary, was nominated for the vice-presidential slot on the McGovern ticket in a symbolic gesture by the Women's Caucus. Her being chosen as the first female of Wells' thirteen presidents, however, was anything but symbolic. The school, which has a modest endowment of $8 million, needed someone of note to help boost sagging enrollment. On the job since March, Farenthold, 49, has made this fall's entering class the largest in six years, but still sees recruitment as her biggest problem...

The worst numbers (it's a tough choice) are "Ain't That a Shame", a pathetic attempt at a rock number, and "Makin' Love Don't Always Make Love Grow" (honest, folks). Tanya...
...addition, many of the Radcliffe teams have done quite well before becoming involved with Harvard three years ago. The sailing team, for example, has been competing intercollegiately for the last thirteen years, during which time it was considered by Radcliffe to be a varsity sport. The team has gone to the sailing nationals for the last nine years and won four times while placing second or third four others. Although sailing is omitted from most lists of Radcliffe varsity sports, it should, in fact, be one of the few included. Along with the crew it is the only team...
