Toward the end of the number, the authors become increasingly conscious of the war. Mr. Simpson contributes a lively and amusing, though rather extravagant story in British nautical dialect of the "Blimey" school. Mr. Wolf savagely attacks Galsworthy for his attitude toward the war; it is hard for one who has not read the offending utterances to judge how far they warrant such an assault, but Mr. Wolf certainly makes his victim appear futile and irritating. At the end "A. K. MoC." interposes a few mild words in Galsworthy's behalf. "B. D. A." writes a review of Professor Perry...

...Alford professorship of natural religion, moral philosophy and civil polity, in succession to Professor Palmer, it has been rumored that Bertrand Russell would be called from England to the chair made vacant by Professor Royce. It is certain that no such offer has ever been made to Mr. Russell, though he had been invited to lecture at Harvard during the present year. ...registration of the Law School this year includes representative from 153 colleges and shows that with the exception of five men all students registered are college graduates in that they have completed the work required for graduation, though 16 have not actually received their diplomas. Last year the registration showed that 145 colleges were represented, while only two of the students enrolled were not college graduates. The total enrolment of the school this year is 856 which shown a considerable gain over the enrolments of 789 and 730 for last year and 1914 respectively, land which exceeds the previous record...
