...scored their first run in the second inning. Krug and Thomas were both walked and advanced a base when Felton threw to catch the former off second, no member of the University team being on hand to take the throw. Hageman singled to right and Krug scored. Hooper flied to Desha, Yerkes struck out, and Speaker was forced out at second after being given a base on balls...

There was much good acting Friday. Mr. Duncan threw much spirit into Merygreeke. Mr. Benchley's dry staccato made Ralph very amusing. But next time, probably, he will have brought together his effects and points into a clearly characterized figure. Friday he played somewhat unevenly, now depicting clearly and now sketching somewhat vaguely. Mr. Merrill, as Tibet, the maid; Mr. Haussermann, as Dobinet; and particularly Mr. Spelman, as Dame Custance, really supplemented the text and interpreted character. Not often do we see as simply effective emotional acting as that of Mr. Spelman in the meeting of Dame Custance with Goodlucke...

Howe tried for a drop kick but the pass was poor and Leslie and Smith threw for a loss, the ball going to Harvard on downs. Yale penalized 5 yards for offside. Felton punts to Howe at midfield. Philbin made 5 yards through Harvard's left guard, Philbin's end run failed to gain and Howe punted to Campbell on Harvard's 20-yard line. Felton returned...

...Dartmouth's last this year and that a defeat for the University team would practically obliterate Harvard's hopes of the championship, will attract the attention of nearly 40,000 spectators. The chief anxiety will be to see how Harvard is able to meet the forwards who last Saturday threw back the Princeton line time and again. If Harvard succeeds in this particular the prospects for the following Saturday will be decidedly brighter than they were on November 5. The changes in the University line have been radical, and if the line-up given out last night starts the game...

...most encouraging features of the game were in the work of the ends and of the University backs in running in punts. Smith and O'Brien covered the kicks every time and usually threw the runner before he could get fairly started, Reynolds made several good gains from punts. But these strong points need the bolstering up of a good interference to put the team into first class condition for the Dartmouth game; and as there will be no more hard Scrimmage the strengthening must be done in the light work of today and tomorrow. Store was still at right...
