In the sixth inning Trafford was first man at the bat and made his second single of the game, but a moment later was doubled up at second on Frothingham's hit to Mahoney. ...base hit to centre. Hallowell threw the ball to first, long after all chance to catch the man there was gone. The ball sailed high over Trafford's head, and Maegher took third. Then Connor hit to Dean, who feinted towards third base, keeping Meagher there, while Connor was thrown out at first. Slatery hit a grounder to Trafford, who fumbled, and Maegher came in. For Harvard Dean made a run on a hit, a steal, and two errors. This was Dean's only hit. In his four other times at the but he got three bases on balls...
