Tom Thumb is a parody of Elizabethan drama in which the finger-sized hero falls in love with King Arthur's little known daughter, Huncamunca. George Bernard Shaw's The Great Catherine parodies a stuffy British man's encounter with the nymphomaniacal Russian Empress.
