After months of mounting tension, the leaders of the U.S. and China appear to be putting recent strains in their relationship behind them. China's Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday, April 1, that President Hu Jintao would attend the global nuclear-security summit in Washington on April 12 and 13. Hours later, Hu and President Obama spoke for an hour by phone. Considerable differences on a wide range of issues are unlikely to be easily resolved, but Washington and Beijing may be moving to manage those differences in a more cooperative fashion...

Many courses taught by History of Art and Architecture faculty also incorporate objects from the Peabody’s collections and hold their sections in the Peabody galleries. This Thursday, April 1, the Harvard Art Museum Undergraduate Connection, which traditionally holds events at the Harvard Art Museum, will host a Night at the Peabody Museum, with student-led tours that treat the objects on display as artworks worthy of art historical inquiry...
Some of those problems are influenced by external factors. Against Boston University on Thursday, co-captain and pitcher Margaux Black was called for multiple illegal pitches that aided an 11-run first-inning outburst for the Terriers. This weekend, it was Brown’s turn to receive the tough calls from the unrelenting umpires...
