...Link, but this year there is no one on the pitching staff of Link's experience. Of the material on hand Chaplin and Thompson are the most promising. Thompson is gradually rounding into form after being incapacitated during the fall and winter by an injury to his arm. Tibbott, shortstop last year, may also be tried out in the box. His work in the cage during the past few weeks has been marked by steady improvement, but it will be difficult to judge of his real possibilities until he has pitched in an actual game...

...other departments of the game, however, Princeton is much more favorably situated. Considering last year's records and the work in the cage this year, the nine will be above the average in both hitting and fielding. Captain Driggs, Tibbott and Lee, among the veterans of the 1916 team who will in all probability play this spring, stood respectively second, third and fifth in the list of the team's hitting averages last year. ...backfield problem is just as serious. Eddy, Ames, Thomas, Brown, Driggs and Tibbott, have all played their last game for Princeton and have left no good substitutes. Haaren, of this year's squad, is a possible quarterback, as is Strubing, captain of the 1920 team. F. Moore, N. C. Nourse, Georgi, Boone and Trimble will all be given a chance in the backfield, but all of these men were on the freshman team and have had experience in big college football games...

...Princeton team is in good condition, except Tibbott, who may not even get in the game to put over a drop-kick. In the practice today, Funk, Eberstadt and Tibbott practised field goals and the team was put through a short signal drill in which it showed great polish. Ames may play at halfback and Latrobe at left tackle...
