Princeton felt the loss of W. Humphreys, the regular left wing, who has been out of the game for some time because of an injury. Captain Peacock, Hills, and J. Humphreys were the hard workers for the Tiger seven, Humphreys' work being especially conspicuous. Defensively, he was a tower of strength, and in his dashes down the rink he cleverly outskated the University players. His aim was, however, generally wide of the mark. Hills was fast on the offence, but he found the Crimson backs too heavy for him, and was repeatedly spilled. Peacock put up a sterling game, although...

Taking a page from this year's history of football, the University team got an early jump in the next contest and in the Palmer Stadium defeated the strong Tiger eleven 10 to 6. All the points of play which had hitherto been weaknesses were in this game turned to assets, for the early jump and the alertness for the ball were great factors in the proving of the Crimson's superiority. Each team showed a brilliant offense, but Harvard's stronger defense gave the team an advantage which forced Princeton's captain quarterback to turn to Tibbott's drop...

...score of 5 to 2. The University, on the other hand, shut out Springfield 4 to 0, but was defeated by Princeton 3 to 0. The Princeton team that won from the University was far stronger, however, than the aggregation Yale faced, as the Tiger forward line was weakened in the latter contest by the loss of three of its best players. The University team has scored victories over Prospect Union and Andover and has lost to the General Electric Company and Columbia. Captain Weld, Emmons and Wood have starred for the University this season...
