...familiar formula of tight defensive play and a potent counter-attack helped the No. 22 Harvard men’s soccer team to its fifth straight victory Saturday afternoon. In the wind and rain in Princeton, the Crimson (8-3, 4-0 Ivy) downed the Tigers (4-9-1, 1-2-1) 2-0 to remain atop the league standings. The shutout was Harvard’s fourth in its last five games, and goals from junior Adam Rousmaniere and senior John Stamatis were enough for the win in what both co-captain Michael Fucito and junior Andre Akpan described...

...Tigers were forced to settle for a 28-yard field goal from Ben Bologna to make the score 20-17 in Princeton’s favor. The Crimson responded immediately, reaching its own 46 before facing 4th-and-1. After a timeout, senior quarterback Chris Pizzotti connected with senior tight end Jason Miller in the flat, and Miller rumbled for 13 yards and a crucial first down.“We didn’t feel like there were any guarantees we were going to get the ball back, and we just had to have a play,” Harvard...

...Early this week, Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. revealed that staph (short for Staphylococcus) infection had sent him to the Cleveland Clinic for three days, and he accused the Browns of asking him to cover it up. Pro football teams are notoriously reluctant to reveal any information on player injuries, but since six different Browns have caught the bug since 2005 - Winslow has had it twice - the team's medical management looked suspect to some observers. "There's obviously a problem [with staph] and we have to fix it," Winslow told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Just look...

...right, if a little bit disappointing. The follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed “Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?” sees the reintroduction of alter-ego Georgie Fruit (see: Aladdin Sane), but sheds some of that album’s tight electronic instrumentals and most of its sense of structure in favor of a much looser approach and a more funk-driven sound. And while Of Montreal have always been theatrical and a bit all over the place, “Skeletal Lamping” is disjointed to the point where...

Still, you cannot help but admire the lavish spectacle of all those young folk singin' and dancin'. The production numbers are huge and tight and innovative. And as a mom, you've got to respect the attempt Disney makes to be decent. Granted, there's nobody ugly in the movie, and I'm not sure why there's only one Latina in a New Mexico high school, but there's (gasp) a fuller-figured girl and everyone's differences are celebrated. The biggest problem anyone seems to have is which basketball scholarship to accept, or whether...
