...mass meeting yesterday afternoon showed that lacrosse has no hold whatever on the interest of the men in college. To many it has been evident for some time that the sport of lacrosse as an object of University interest and support, was doomed, and the meeting of yesterday afternoon has now fortunately settled the question. Its work last Saturday at Amherst was a disappointment to all in the college; that day the men played a listless game during the first part of the contest, and in that time the game was almost hopelessly lost.
