Several hundred Israeli troops met some resistance from Lebanese soldiers and Shi'ite militiamen, but the column continued on into Zrariyah. Automobiles were machine-gunned, and the armored vehicles rolled over several cars, crushing them like discarded tin cans. In one destroyed vehicle there was at least one passenger, but he appeared to have been killed earlier by gunfire...
