In the second period. Goodenow, who teams on a line with Tom Paul and Jay Riley, netted two more scores for his first varsity hat trick. A tip-in by Hynes off a shot by Muse rounded out the scoring in the middle period.

Sophomore Goodenow's goal, his first as a varsity player, came off of a nice rush and feed by defenseman Bob Muse. Desmond, an ex-JV player skating on the fourth line, scored on a tip-in of sophomore Dave Hands's shot.

But Denver quickly assumed the offensive, and scored two goals within 14 seconds to lead 2-1--the first on a clear shot by Tom Gilmore and the second on a tip-in by Craig Patrick.
