...both contests the University players exhibited a decided superiority over the Freshmen, although Coach Tolbert's men developed an effective passing game, and but for the sterling defence offered by the more experienced team, would have been able to turn their many opportunities to tally into actual points. Lowenthal, who took part in both contests, was the outstanding point-winner in the University attack, while the consistent work of Kent Middleton marked him as the yearlings' most valuable player...
Repeating their performance against Tufts last week, Coach Tolbert's men seized an early lead, only to have it snatched from them by the powerful offence of Y. M. C. A. forwards. In the closing session play was fast and furious, neither side gaining any substantial advantage until with five minutes to go the visitors caged a rapid succession of baskets, bringing their count to 26. Now, for the only time during the contest, the yearlings showed flashes of their usual form and swept through the opposing defence for three baskets. The effort was ineffectual, however, and the whistle blew...

M. C. A. quintet tomorrow...
Tufts showed their full strength in the second period, when, with Wilson again dominating the floor, the visitors rolled up a substantial lead before Coach Tolbert's players had a chance to recover from the effect of their oppnoents' whirlwind attack. With defeat near at hand, the Crimson yearlings staged an impressive and effectual rally. Baskets by King, Merriam, and J. L. Scully, aided by the efficient work of Samborski from the foul line, served to cut down the visitors' lead, and five minutes to play found the two quintets deadlocked with the count 25 all. It was in these...
