...Cambridge very much engaged in politics. I am currently managing former Harvard undergraduate Carolina Johnson’s ‘04 campaign for State Representative here in the 25th Middlesex District (which includes all of Harvard University’s Cambridge campus). I have also remained in touch with my friends who are still active in the Harvard College Greens, and I even received an e-mail from the IOP inviting the Greens to co-sponsor an event about third parties this September. I was pleased to see that the IOP had not forgotten the Greens, and I forwarded...

...receive a reply. A week later, the Greens sent another e-mail making a clear and detailed request that the IOP consider hosting or co-sponsoring a debate between Wolf and Johnson. This e-mail, dated September 27th also has yet to receive a reply. The Greens were in touch with me throughout this process because I had been chiefly responsible for contact with the IOP during my time as an undergraduate. A man of family. A man of honor ..." But don't touch that remote. On Friday, Bush began running an ad accusing Kerry of voting to raise taxes 98 times--his campaign's 11th Spanish-language TV spot. More are sure to follow. --By Viveca Novak

...routine, and the terror of changing it, is the show's constant theme.) Meanwhile, the power-hungry pip-squeak Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) is now office manager, having replaced the boorish David Brent (writer-producer Ricky Gervais). David complains that his life was ruined by the documentary--a nice touch, since The Office immeasurably changed Gervais' life as well--bitterly claiming that he was the victim of bad editing. "The one time I accidentally head-butt an employee makes it onto the program," he says. Now he is peddling himself as a D-list celebrity, doing nightclub promotions with...
