Major General C. P. Summerall, who is in command of the Area in his letter to Mr. L. E. Stoddard, chairman of the United States Polo Association stated that it would be impossible for the army to hold the tournament again because of the limited facilities at Fort Hamilton. ...Athletic Association has a ruling that minor sports teams shall not go on trips outside of New England. On the whole it is a wise rule, but it will be extremely unwise to hold to it in the present case and prevent the squash team's entering the national tournament.
