...Paul's case is true in that of every man. There is no life, however evil in outward aspect that has not some thread of purpose running through it, and it is our duty to accept this as Paul accepted the vision, and to crystallize it by earnest work toward some high end. Because there is present in every soul a serious purpose, we can see further that it must be God's purpose and God's will that we are fulfilling by our labor. Many of us, to be sure, are afraid to admit this close relationship between...

Directly after the first kick-off Laurson went around Campbell for fifteen yards, but Harvard got the ball on a punt and began a march toward the goal. Short plunges by Ellis and Kendall and two runs of eight and twenty yards by Kendall and a final buck of four yards scored the first touchdown. J. Lawrence kicked the goal. For the rest of the half Harvard was unable to force the ball over the line again. Once it was taken to the fifteen yard line and again to the five yard line, but fumbles by Putnam and Kendall prevented...

The pointless jeering at men who represent their College and who are working their hardest for the team, is the very height of bad taste. ...play on. This was good for the team in that it gave the men experience in handling a wet ball, which may be of advantage in important games. For the first ten minutes of the game between the first and second elevens very little fumbling was done, but toward the end it seemed impossible for the backs to handle the ball cleanly. Both teams relied entirely on mass plays and punts, as end running was out of the question. The first team barely held its own in punting, but in line plays it did better, scoring one touchdown by straight...

...first half, and Fincke took his place in the second. Sawin and Ellis were also substituted for Kernan and Graydon. Soon after the kick-off Kendall circled left end for twenty-five yards, Fincke's interference helping him greatly. Ellis and Kendall then took the ball slowly toward the goal by line plunges, and Kendall carried it, over the line by a three yard buck through right tackle. J. Lawrence kicked the goal. Soon after the kick-off Kendall ran twenty-five yards around left end. Sawin made thirty yards around right end and Kendall circled left for twenty more...
