...Union voted that the seal designed by Mr. R. D. Weston-Smith '86, be adopted on February 1 as the seal of the Harvard Union. Five designs were submitted. Mr. Weston-Smith's design, which is here reproduced, represents, on a sable ground, a castle of a single tower, or; on the castle, above the gate, the Harvard shield in its proper colors. The tower, being the distinguishing feature in the Higginson coat-of-arms, is most appropriate for the seal of the Union.
