Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors have reported in a body for the first days of fall rowing. Already more than enough for six crews have appeared and it is believed that seven or eight will be out on the water by next week. Starting with a meeting in the Tower Room of Lowell House last Wednesday, a wealth of experienced material has turned out. Sophomores from last spring's Freshman eights make up the majority of the oarsmen, while a few of the Varsity squad have been keeping themselves in shape...

He gorged himself well on the fare intended only for the newcomers, carefully avoiding the recognizing eye of his friend, the Adviser in religion. Then he settled himself comfortably in a soft spot to enjoy the fumes of Benson and Hedges, lulled into absent dreams by the pleasant voices of the speakers...

...Bali when he was working in Cunard Line's advertising department, preparing advertisements for world" cruises. He went back with a camera, found it easy to bribe natives with rings, shirts, hardware, to perform. One mishap occurred: 15 Balinese, tipsy on mild wine and carrying a cremation tower, ran over him and his camera. His picture, the leisurely record of a six-month visit, is beautifully photographed and has the warm, informal authenticity that most travelogs lack. Good shot: a Balinese youth (Trego's valet, who refused to leave Bali for any salary) smiling slowly as he watches...
