...people noticed or cared when the Union of Concerned Scientists sent a petition with 1,500 signatures to the White House calling for international measures to curb global warming, we should not be particularly surprised. I admit to guilt as well--after talk of Earthly destruction from ozone depletion, toxic pollutants and every fruit, vegetable or meat, it doesn't take much effort or worry to add another potential hazard to the list of threats to the environment.
