...chords and multiple keyboards, offering a sound reminiscent of Neil Young with a dash of Bob Dylan. Their album kicks off with “Sleepytime in the Western World,” a song detailing a nightmare about isolation in the occident. Despite the gloomy sentiments of the track, the music itself is strangely happy and doesn’t mesh with the lyrics. While a strange mix of elements such as seemingly symbolic images (“And as I finally tried to speak / Twelve birds flrew straightways from my mouth”) and a quirkily upbeat chorus...
...know what I was in for. The evening was helmed by the Boston A/V DJ trio Sosolimited, whose original software transformed the debate into a spectacular of technical punditry. Using the audio, video, and, most importantly, closed captioning feeds provided by CNN, the three guys were able to track and count the candidates’ buzzwords, analyze their body language, and isolate their argumentative technique. The event was a nerd smorgasbord, as satisfying to the tech geeks as it was to the policy wonks.I turned to Eric Gunther and Justin Manor of Sosolimited (the third member is John Rothenberg...

The album does have a few remnants of Kings of Leon’s former feel, however. It can be heard in the pulsing, scratchy bass hook of “Crawl” and the heavily distorted and musically simple...
...band, The Jerk Offs, Norah, feeling lonely, grabs the nearest guy and tells Tris it’s her boyfriend (even though, as we later discover, she already has one). As chance would have it, that guy is Nick, and their relationship springs from there as they attempt to track down the secret show put on that night in New York by Where’s Fluffy. In many ways, this is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Cera. He is his normal self, relying on smiles and awkward movements to convey emotion. People who fell...
