...tune-up before the team’s dual meet against Yale, the Harvard track teams traveled to Providence to face Brown and other local universities in a meet where no team scores were kept. Crimson tracksters competed strong, with junior Clara Blattler posting the only women’s win of the day, taking first in the pole vault. Sophomore Brittan Smith took second in the long jump with a 5.42-meter leap, while junior Danielle Mirabal landed at fourth in the same event with a 5.24-meter jump. ...jokes “that they both know / that they both know” is remarkably apt and sure to strike chords with longtime friends everywhere. Musically, the album is more in-your-face than the band’s previous efforts. Especially worthy of note is the title track. The song, which details long-suppressed passions between two Channel Six news reporters, is both clever (“We belong together / Like traffic and weather”) and infectious. And what’s more, does it with style? The lyrical comedy of the track is well-balanced...
Perhaps the biggest variable in this weekend’s match-ups, however, will be Mother Nature. The Crimson’s track record with her hasn’t been too impressive—the trip down to Ft. Myers for the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational in March was cancelled on account of snowy conditions at Logan Airport, and the season home opener against Holy Cross was postponed due to “unplayable conditions...
