...gimme feevahhh," sang jazz diva Peggy Lee, but it's Walt Disney studios , that's feeling the heat. Lee is suing the film company for $25 million in a dispute over royalties from the blockbuster videocassette of Disney's 1955 animated tale, Lady and the Tramp. Lee co-wrote all the movie's songs and provided the voices for four characters, including a torch-song-singing Pekingese named Peg. Her fee: $4,000, meager even by 1950s standards...
...star of the play is Byrd, who steals every scene in which he appears. Byrd is talented at assuming accents (in fact, he is the only member of the cast who attempts to do so), though perhaps he is stretching his talents in giving a Russian tramp a British cockney accent in the sketch "A Drowned Man." Byrd has a certain comic flair which radiates through all his roles and makes watching him particularly enjoyable...

Hopkins' companions are a Palm Springs horse breeder and a journalist. Across America, weekend hoboes include a Connecticut schoolmarm, a Florida minister, a Washington State college professor, even a Denver shopping center developer who hops freights to find remote fishing spots. They...
...hide and jump off in a remote rail yard. Campground "jungles" located in trackside patches of scrub and a riverside park for relaxing and washing clothes are nearby. A notable addition to the hobo community this weekend is Tudor Williams, 44, former chef to Movie Director Steven Spielberg. A tramp's poem recommends making mulligan stew by putting "Whatever you've got/ In the pot/ Heat it 'til it's hot/ Eat it." Williams improves on the formula. He keeps a store of spice packets from fast- food stands and collects money from hoboes who have some...
