Unfortunately, we're old fashioned and still prefer to see readable copy at the beginning, and advertisements at the end. SO couldn't the editors of the Radcliffe Yearbook have had some consideration for the curious Harvard student who finally became a little tried of gazing at the pictures...

Caddy at least makes a pass, however feeble, at telling a story: Dean and Jerry, a golf pro and his caddy, are such cutups from tee-off to hole-down that they are driven off the golf courses of the nation and into show business. In transit, Jerry does a memorable song & dance routine, playing an international-set sissy, and manages not to offend because he never for an instant loses the idiotic innocence of a small boy showing the gang what his big sister does in front of the mirror...
...that he has appointed some capable administrators to city departments. But he has shown little or no understanding of the city's wretched financial position which is steadily growing worse, and he has made only weak efforts to solve specific problems like New York's huge transit deficit (TIME, Apr. 20), which last week resulted in a 15? fare for all the city's subway turnstiles...
Such huge new developments are the logical outgrowth of the traffic jams, parking woes, and decaying rapid-transit systems that are choking U.S. cities. The shopping centers first sprung up haphazardly around supermarkets. Now they cluster around department stores and have become big, new "one-stop"' shopping centers. They are informal (women in slacks cause no raised eyebrows), have day nurseries for children, and generally stay open until 9 at night six days a week. They are the modern bazaar, where whole families can not only do their buying together but have an evening...
Express Collection. A new ground-air transit service begun by Armored Carrier Corp. will speed up the clearing of checks between distant banks, cut down clearance time between New York and California banks from a week or more to one day. Carried by commercial airliners, check consignments will be picked up and delivered by armored truck...
