...poor. The Newell Sophomores are generally unsteady and have a poor catch and a weak finish, while the Weld Sophomores lack leg-drive and do not pull the stroke through to the finish. Nevertheless, they have frequently shown that they are capable of spacing out and making their boat travel well. The Newell Freshmen are not well together and their boat is very unsteady. They have a tendency to rush their slides and to clip at the catch. The two chief faults of the Weld Freshmen are a failure to reach out well and an inability to keep together...
