Now a lot of the talk is focused on a more-modest analogy involving first and second derivatives. Equally disconcerting is the trend of students looking to sell tickets before they even consider going themselves. A vicious cycle has been created in which, before people can even get excited by the invitations posted to their door, they are bombarded with offers and flashing-light e-mails for tickets to buy.
