Died. Mrs. Susan Homans Woodruff, 83, last of a trio of elderly female angels of the Communist Daily Worker; in Manhattan. Onetime Schoolmarm Woodruff, a Smith College graduate and a D.A.R., joined Anna Whitaker Pennypacker (daughter of Pennsylvania's 1903-07 governor, Samuel W. Pennypacker) and Mrs. Ferdinanda W. Reed (daughter of a Cambridge, Mass, physician) in providing the Worker with an early-American front after 1940.
