Arrangements have been made where-by members of the Senior class may follow the class crew races on Friday, May 17. The "Neponset," which has been chartered for the afternoon will accommodate 55 passengers, and the fare for the trip will be $1, including refreshments. A blue book will be placed at Leavitt & Peirce's tomorrow morning at 8.30 o'clock, and the first 55 men to sign and pay the fee at that time, will be taken. ITHACA, NEW YORK, May 10.--The University baseball team arrived here at 2 o'clock this afternoon, after a rather hard journey. The men showed no ill effects of the trip, and spirited practice was held on Percy Field, shortly after arriving. The fielding was especially good, notwithstanding the fact that the ground was rather slippery, owing to a snow which fell this morning. The batting of the team against Brennan, Bush and Slater, was hard and accurate. All the men seemed in good condition after the practice, and ready to play a hard game tomorrow...
Throughout the practice the whole crew seemed to have considerable difficulty in controlling their slides. The blade work was very smooth and the men pulled together in splendid form, and on the trip upstream the boat spaced out almost to the rudder posts. They did not do so well on the row down-stream against the tide, however, and at times the shell checked perceptibly.
