Geraldine Farrar's modernized version oi Bizet's masterpiece, Carmen (TIME, Apr. 21), will open at Portsmouth, N. H., on Sept. 26. After a tour of New England, it will enter Manhattan, surely with many triumphal trumpet-blares.
