...before settling in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1980, when Mike was two. After coaching in the minor pro leagues, Henry landed a job as an assistant coach at Arizona State. But after a recruiting scandal there in 1985, he went back to being a coaching gypsy: Baltimore, Maryland; Savannah, Georgia; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Venezuela. His trips home to Phoenix lost all frequency, and Henry's presence was reduced to an electronic pager he left with the kids...
Fourth-seeded Clemson (21-9) seemed to have top-five potential earlier this season but hasn't lived up to it and is sagging now, and Tulsa (23-9) always does better in the tournament than people expect. The Golden Hurricane (now there's an auric mascot!) has been in the Sweet 16 three out of the last four years and guard Shea Seals is a star...
...most tantalizing mysteries of Elohim City, however, is the controversial notion that a young visitor named Carol Howe heard advance word there about the Oklahoma City bombing and warned the Federal Government. But when she asked them to help her arm the grenades, they refused, as Mahon says he later did too. "I knew she was bent," he says. "She was the one always talking about killing and bombing," in an attempt, he contends, to entrap others at the compound...
...Wednesday commemorate the 24th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in 1973. Federal agents, who have investigated 175 clinic attacks to date, continue to search for leads as to who is responsible for two bombings at abortion clinics in Atlanta and Tulsa last week. "There is evidence, and it's evidence that could identify a suspect at some point," cautioned a federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent scouring the firebombed clinic in Tulsa. Especially worrisome to the ATF and the FBI are the two bombs that went off outside a suburban...
