...neared my twentieth birthday not too long ago, I was indeed fretting over my age. But I have to wonder about this letter: Did I really deserve to earn my stripes so early? After all, the AARP only invited my father to join when he turned 50, and I will have only two decades under my belt by next week. Ah, me, what a birthday card. ...imagine that in my last year here I will be greeted with a much warmer reception in terms of my Catholic Christianity. In fact, I feel a great deal more comfortable at Harvard celebrating my heritage as a young black man in the second half of the twentieth century than in trumpeting my religion. ...event films of late. Conventional wisdom would suggest that the prequel is a cinch to open in at least a "Godzilla"-sized 3,700 theaters. Analysts were also expecting "Episode I" to become the first film to break the magical $100 million mark its first weekend. Now, says a Twentieth Century Fox source, you can expect a more modest rollout, akin to the 2,104 theaters that ran the "Star Wars" rerelease last winter.
